The way I eat strawberry shortcake.

Strawberry Shortcake

Poetry by Z.H.Tauhid

Strange;

When I used to eat my strawberry shortcake Without a strawberry on top of it

Why—

Because I used to give it to you Before I eat and smile

But; It has been a week since—

I ate my strawberry shortcake With a strawberry on top of it

I didn't know that it was so sweet

The sweetness of the strawberry— You used to eat And what I used to give

But; I don't think—

That you tasted the sting of bitterness Like I did

Hah... How I wish—

To not have a strawberry On top of my strawberry shortcake.

This was a beautiful metaphor. It is deeply meaning ul. Your words and meter were excellent. Great job.
