“Oh wow, this is beautiful.” Carson has gotten a beautiful garden rigged up below the ship’s deck. It should be impossible to grow what he is down here but I just assume there’s some complex elemental magic going on that I’ll probably never understand.
“How the fuck did you get this to work?” Gillian pipes up beside me. Ah… ever so ebrassive.
“Gillian, mind the language. Please. It’ll hurt the plants.” Which is hilarious coming from Carson. Gillian seems to agree with me because he doubles over in laughter.
“I guess I am curious, though. How did you get this to work? Where’s the sunlight coming from?”
Cath pushes off the wall with a smirk and raises her hand. “Guilty.” Ahh. That makes sense. This would be impossible if the twins hadn’t worked together. Which I’m surprised they managed. Cath must’ve been in debt to her brother or something.
I crouch down beside a bush of mint. I wouldn’t really know what it was if Carson hadn’t labeled it. Really, this whole garden is beautifully organized and decorated. One of the best I’ve ever seen. Maybe I can get them to help me on starting my own.
“Are you growing some aloe plants?”
“Of course. Right this way. And what did you say you needed this stuff for?”
“A protection charm.”
