Audi ducked their own head into the ray of sunshine just to watch the light turn their brown hair copper. They were preparing for the summer. Audi's hair liked to change with the seasons.
More sun meant a lighter color. If Audi could convince them-self that their hair was actually copper right now then maybe the winter would go away. Which was incredulously stupid reasoning.
Audi knew that.
The wicked bite of cold air on their skin was becoming too much. The trek was over two days long and wind would just whip through the thin cloth on their back.
But Audi had just bit their tongue and thought about how little of a journey was left. They had to bear it for a little longer. That's it.
But for now they watched their hair turn brown as their body flopped out of the sunshine and onto the hotel bed. Room service couldn't come fast enough.
