Midnight blooms of flowers are covering her skin. Nessie shifts as I touch her. A loud moan can be heard.
Mournful , in pain.
The water ripples, sending waves of crimson towards me.
The green smooth skin of a once majestic beast is marred with scars, slashes of indescribable cruelty.
Who would do such a thing?
In the dark shadows of the dock , the world is anew, eerie.
The stars are splayed like glitter over a painted sky.
It looks like the picture Cayden made.
I smile, momentarily thinking of my son. He would hate this. Well, not now- but when he's older.
I can just feel it.
This damage that has been caused to such a wonderful creature. Its sickening.
Why are we regressing to the crimes of the past? Back when none believed in magic and we were at war.
I suppose that's what they want
I stare into the murky water. I don't want Cayden to grow up into a world like this.
But as much as I want it - I cannot stop this. This cruelty may well be our future.
I pray that we all can survive it
I pray that the magic survives
