A Fatal Glass

Cass shook, both hands gripping the stem of her broken wine glass, holding her breath in the cluttered closet.

Drip drip.

Crimson drops exploded on the wood floors, echoing down the hall.

Drip drip.

Priscilla's hysteric laughs pierced Cass's ears.

"Come on, you little bitch. You honestly think you can hide from me?"

Grumbling drunkenly, Priscilla emptied the wine bottle into her own cracked glass.

Drip drip.

Cass yelped as the bottle crashed into the door.

Drip drip.

"Cassandra!"

Footsteps rushed down the hall.

As the door cracked open, Cass shut her eyes. Glass in hand, she lunged forward.
