A haunted little love poem I found in an old notebook.

Cybele

Your love is a mansion

Haunted with things;

Around shrouded furniture,

Slow flutterings.

These ghosts are of memories

From every time

We slept in the covers -

Strange hands entwined.

And our mansion of love,

Twined as a quilt -

Abandoned, torn down;

Some cottage was built.

Now, in there’s a couple

That’s so terrified

To leave their room

Short of any light.
