An iambic, somewhat obligatory, ode to Sirens.

Apophänie

Partially angel'd - tad animal rite

Waxed in belladonna - sonorous moon

Raised sybaritic I pit, wrongly, spite

Against fire's logic, madness & boons

A tombstone gown, paduasoy'd vestal

Making pailettes - glossolalia howl

The Gods know your name - a Brazen Vessel

Swift to the eye, pea-sweet waterfowl

Amor Fati on one side of the scale

The other, Panfilo, huffing the flute

Vet Pareidolia - find without fail

This scale - Delphic Pythoness' Offshoot!

Sweet Parthenope & her maiden voice

Sending sugar hiccups up spines of men

Thelxiepia enchants the gold dust boys

As lovely Aglaope whispers when -

Peisinoe's rhythm sets time for all

With screams of Ligeia arming the troops

And Jovial Molpe responds to the call

Himorepa's genlte sand droops-grows-droops

This battle for lust becomes heart then soul

Amor Fati, by Leucosia's shine

Perilous understatements, how she doles

Through Phakic-lensed laughs on the stormy brine

Her penniform Sophic retinue's hiss:

Metempsychosis parabiosis.
