Shapeshifter

In pure, hollow silence creatures lurk,

In pure, hollow silence creatures lurk, Residing in the shadows of the darkest nights.

In pure, hollow silence creatures lurk, Residing in the shadows of the darkest nights. While on full moon they all go berserk, Many innocents don't know of their annual Hunter's Rites.

Aaron was one such innocent,

Aaron was one such innocent, this blissful ignorance was short-lived however.

Aaron was one such innocent, this blissful ignorance was short-lived however. Soon he'd be in a fearful incident, It would change his peaceful life forever.

You see, these creatures, they get hungry,

You see, these creatures, they get hungry, so they move on from the shadows.

You see, these creatures, they get hungry, so they move on from the shadows. Creeping around the streets numbly,

You see, these creatures, they get hungry, so they move on from the shadows. Creeping around the streets numbly, Searching from the city to the meadows.

Aaron was an unlucky soul.

Aaron was an unlucky soul. Soon he'd be a part of the gruesome festivities, He'd most probably get eaten whole... Not something he had on his daily list of activities.

Aaron suddenly hears a snap.

Aaron suddenly hears a snap. He turns around to no avail,

Aaron suddenly hears a snap. He turns around to no avail, Seeing as the sound was a trap, Now the creatures' wits prevail.

Was it a beast,

or some criminal released?

It was a creature of night,

giving Aaron a real bad fright.

It will steal your face,

a spot left for it to replace.

Making the world think its you,

When in reality they have no idea who.

Aaron falls into the trap,

Hearing one last sickening snap.

No idea about his fate,

What the monsters were about to create.

Aaron wakes up, tangled in ropes,

Aaron wakes up, tangled in ropes, He opens his eyes, which wasn't too wise.

Aaron wakes up, tangled in ropes, He opens his eyes, which wasn't too wise. The sight made sure he couldn't have hopes, Half-eaten people being his morning surprise.

He barely dares to move and then..

He barely dares to move and then.. A terrifying shriek in the distance.

He barely dares to move and then.. A terrifying shriek in the distance. He looks around once again,

He barely dares to move and then.. A terrifying shriek in the distance. He looks around once again, Searching for a way to continue his existence.

The sound woke something deep inside,

The sound woke something deep inside, Hearing the turning and churning of his bones.

The sound woke something deep inside, Hearing the turning and churning of his bones. To another life he would soon abide,

The sound woke something deep inside, Hearing the turning and churning of his bones. To another life he would soon abide, Confined to a world full of unknowns.

Aaron had found a new kind of life,

Meeting constant inner strife.

Plagued by his split mentality,

Shocked by his desired brutality.

A monster he had become,

To horrific desires he had to succumb.

He had never heard of the creatures,

Now he was bearing their features.

A lust for blood and stealing faces,

All the while not leaving any traces.

Hiding in the shadows of the night,

Consumed by an unnatural fright.

All he wanted was to revert the transformation,

Feeling disgusted by this newly made creation.

Unable to resist the urges,

The reality of his change emerges.

Shape-shifting became his daily routine,

The faces he'd worn already counted fourteen.

Changing his person every other day,

Aaron's identity faded further and further away.

A month laters he finds himself between the trees,

A month laters he finds himself between the trees, Lifeless bodies surrounding him left and right.

A month laters he finds himself between the trees, Lifeless bodies surrounding him left and right. Hysterical cries are heard as he falls to his knees,

A month laters he finds himself between the trees, Lifeless bodies surrounding him left and right. Hysterical cries are heard as he falls to his knees, Cursing the lingering thoughts of its delight.
