Reasons why you should.

Date An Anxious Girl.

by wethedreamers

Date an anxious girl, one with bloody, chapped lips.

From the habit of her biting them in over nervousness.

Copper when you taste her as you lunge for a kiss.

Date an anxious girl with bloody, chapped lips.

Date an anxious girl with a public speaking fear.

Who will appreciate your contribution in talking to cashiers.

Whose voice & every octave will be heard in full after years

Date an anxious girl with a public speaking fear.

Date an anxious girl who wears oversized shirts.

Who makes it as a nest of sorts and retreats in it when things hurt.

Fabric billowing and swallowing the nervous introvert.

Date an anxious girl who wears oversized shirts.

Date an anxious girl who will suddenly break down in sobs

Who'll only cry harder if you tell her to stop.

And will only do so at the sight of a dog.

Date an anxious girl who will suddenly break down in sobs.

Date an anxious girl with her heart on her sleeve.

Who will be loyal to a fault like you wouldn't believe.

Too busy being giddy over the fact that, "You love ME?!"

Date an anxious girl with her heart on her sleeve.

Date an anxious girl that horrendously overthinks.

Worst case scenarist on a grand scale with her cheeks fuming pink.

In and out of depression; how so deeply she sinks.

Date an anxious girl who horrendously overthinks.

Date an anxious girl that knows what she is:

A childish adult who is a mature little kid.

A wreck with messed hair; and afraid she'll never be missed.

Date an anxious girl who knows what she is.

Date an anxious girl. That's the girl who you'll love.

From the brief stutter in her speech to the collar as blue as her blood.

Who already loves you, and trust me... she loves you so much

Date an anxious girl. That's the girl you will love.

....She hopes.

@potatoesarefab Ah, thank you! You're so nice! I have no secrets except to be an unpopular nerd who writes poetry to cope with the traumas and tribulations of being an unpopular nerd. Words will flow. :P

This is so beautiful, I feel like everyone can relate to this. It's written in such a beautiful way, I've fallen in love with it the moment I read the first line!

I love this because it connects to so many of us that turn to writing for a reprieve. That fear of public speaking can come out in our words and our overly chapped lips bleed love and nervousness because we fear that we are not good enough. It shows us that we can be so much more than just those things. Because someone would love that even though we hate it on ourselves. Keep up the good work :)

This is absolutely wonderful! And yes, like the others said, it would make a nice song too!

@LostInMyDreams It actually started out as a song, but I thought it was too clunky to be cohesive, so I'm THRILLED you think otherwise. Truly!
