I'm not the person you remember...
No, really I'm not!
Forget the written drama, dismiss this spoken tragedy and ask yourself...
How could I be?
For that was someone else, calling from a different place and who grew from a different life.
These worlds are now far apart!
The one I knew and the one I know, each of them now circle stars born from a separate era.
It was neither my choice nor my intention,
but because we can never stay motionless in a forever moving universe,
where even the most solid ground we can find moves through the stars along with us.
Propelled or carried.
Driven or dragged.
It all amounts to the same result...
Once acquainted with the ceaseless flow we can feel it with every second that ticks by.
With every experience that's cast in memory.
With every face that bears its own history.
And every kindred heart that sadly no longer beats...
For once we awake from our fragile dream of the infinite,
sunlight reveals to us the reality of our own transience.
Pushing us to write out with feverish excess the deepest meaning of our story
before that final page is inevitably turned upon us...
