Everyone has a safe place.
Whether it's your closet or your bedroom.
Outside or inside.
We have a place where we can sit down and assess things,
Pour the tears,
Yet still feel alive.
Just being there makes you feel better.
Because no matter how small it is,
It's your place.
Not your spouse's,
Not your siblings'
Not your parents.
No one's but yours.
I hope I did a good job of describing a safe place,
Because I've never had one.
Prompt: Write a poem about your safe place
