The town was small and the storm was big and the citizens were all unprepared.
They called the storm the Light Stealer and it seemed true when the darkness came and it covered the sun during the day and then covered the stars at night.
There really was no light, only the candle flames that flickered eery in the darkened windows and tossed even scarier shadows onto the walls and the roof.
But of course the candles burned out.
By midnight, when the deathly roiling darkness known as the storm came by, there was no light at all.
The storm came and it came and it CAME with such FEROCITY!
It swept over houses and tore them apart; it blew over trees and split them down; it rushed over waters and stirred up waves and it destroyed everything.
Three days the storm howled and for three days they tried to survive and in three days, everything was destroyed.
When at last the sun shone over the town, there was absolute silence.
Not even the sound of breathing.
It seemed to stretch out
streeeeeeetch out eternaaaaaaaaaally
It was all still and it was all silent.
Nothing just silence
Just the silence
