Chris shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his hands started to slip around his wheel as his palms begin to moisten.
Relax, he thought. You're overreacting. It'll be over before you know it.
He had practice what he would say in a situation like this and he was confident than in the comfort of home but now that it was happening he wasn't so sure.
He looked over to his passenger seat, everything was there, his cigs, wallet and his phone.
"Yeah, I'm just overreacting. What's the worse that could happen."
He closed his eyes and breathed deep a couple of times. Relax he told himself. Chris opened his eyes and used the rearview mirror to help adjusted his tie.
I got this he thought, it'll only be 5 minutes. There was a tap at his window. Chris looked over and presented his best smile as he rolled down the window.
"Evening officer, what can I do for you?"
