Post-modernism has taken the fun out of the bomb disposal profession.
Does red still represent danger or is that some cliche? Is peaceful serene blue the one that stops the clock? Or is it green, a mordant nod to the environment by the maker?
Yellow, refusing to emit a vibe to the professional, tries to hide behind the others. Yellow is the new pretender, attempting to hide behind the RGB autocracy.
And, as I cut into the sallow plastic casing, I realise that irony is still appreciated and a bright light of the purest yellow is the last thing I see.
