Family Tragedies - Chapter Four

When Ivy didn’t have anymore tears to cry, she just sat on the edge of the cliff she landed on not too long ago, but felt like an eternity. She had a blank stare , and her tear stained face glistened with the setting of the sun.

Ivy took a few deep breaths and stood up. She took one last look at her home covered in ashes. Strands of her hair flew with the wind and with that, she turned around and began to walk away from all that she knew.

Days went by and Ivy was close to just laying on the ground and giving up. Until she stumbled upon a small cabin. Ivy felt a strange feeling of comfort as she walked on to the cabin.

When Ivy reached the cabin door she weakly knocked on it. No answer. She knocked again slightly harder. A tall man with a short blond beard opened the door. “May I help you miss?” He asked. Ivy slightly nodded and fell into his arms. “Oh golly gee, let’s get you inside.” The man carried Ivy into his cabin
