The flames whisper o'er the crackling frost, Smoke spirals through the leaves,

One day we'll be together. Side by side, eternally.

A crow sits on my shoulder, A doubt that's in my mind.

To valleys deep, And stars asleep.

A single star set in the inky black, Imprinted on my mind.

A solemn vigil wakes the thunderous deep, Waves, salt, wind try break the keep.

My path is my present. The world is my presence, And even the silence is loud.

The woods of my home are a quiet recluse,

As the days grow close, The nights grow long,

Steeped to the barren seas, and icy winds, Losing strength with every day.
