Don't apologize

by uhmhello

Don't apologize for:

Talking about what makes you happy. It's better than being someone you're not and pretending to like things that aren't you.

Don't apologize for:

Bothering someone. You didn't know they were busy or not in the best mood.

Don't apologize for:

Being alive. If someone lashed out on you for something small, it isn't your fault. You did nothing wrong. If someone made you feel unwanted, it's their fault. They're missing out on you.

Don't apologize for:

Your mental illness. It has made you feel like utter crap and has done nothing but take away from you. It isn't your fault.

Don't apologize for:

Doing things too much or too little. Maybe there's something in your way that you're tied up in, and that's okay. Everyone gets like that.

Don't apologize for:

Not being good enough. Everyone feels this way. Some people have unrealistic standards. And it's okay to say you can't do it.

Don't apologize for:

Being someone you're not. Unless you've hurt someone. It's okay. Most people feel they arent good enough so they become someone else. It's natural.

Don't apologize for:

Being you. Never apologize for being you. It's okay if you love or hate something a little too much. As long as it's the real you. If they don't accept you, screw them. Be your own person.

Sometimes it's hard not to apologize for being who we are because sometimes we really are not sure who we really are and sometimes the hardest person to like is ourselves

You really nailed one of my favorite subjects, apologetics. The written verses which were actually paragraphs of significance. They were poignant and the words well chosen. You certainly spoke to a number of young people who seem to thrive on apologetics.
