To Shouto, Izuku shines like nothing else he's seen before.
His father's fire couldn't contrast to the boy's smile.
Izuku always seemed to sparkle, bringing light in the corners of his life where it was missing.
Aoyama- even his quirk couldn't fight Izuku's brilliant eyes. Whenever they looked his way, he could feel himself burning up.
Well, he wanted to smile back. Desperately.
Even just a small upturn of his lips should be alright.
But- he couldn't.
Deep down, Shouto understood that this was how it had to be.
Izuku couldn't be rivaled, of course.
So, he took by the greenette's side, if not to smile--
To watch the other, gleaming in the sunlight.
