Jimin and Hoseok arrived at Mono Studio at twelve fifty. Once they reached the entrance, Jimin knocked on the door. Hoseok began to chuckle. “What?” Jimin asked.
“You don’t have to knock, it’s a studio,” Hoseok smirked. As Hoseok reached for the handle, a man wearing a suit opened the door. “Thank you for knocking. Welcome,” the man bowed.
Jimin immediately faced Hoseok and stuck his tongue out.
“Come in,” he smiled. Hoseok and Jimin followed the tall stranger inside. The man briskly walked to a room in the back.
“This is Mono studio,” he announced as he emerged with two water bottles. “Thank you,” the couple smiled in unison. “Please have a seat,” the towering gentleman stated.
Hoseok and Jimin sat down on a large gray couch. The stranger sat down on a black barrel chair across from the couple. He checked his watch and adjusted his hair.
“Jin should be arriving any moment now. My name is Namjoon and this is my studio,” Namjoon revealed as he stuck his hand out. Jimin and Hoseok shook his hand as they introduced themselves.
“Nice to meet you both,” Namjoon smiled.
“If you don’t mind me asking, where are we going to practice?” Hoseok asked. “I don’t mind at all. If you have any questions please let me know. Also, the dance studio is just down that hallway, you’ll get to see it in person once Jin arrives,” Namjoon answered.
“How did you get such a big studio?” Jimin eagerly questioned.
“Well, Jin and I have known each other since we were kids. It has always been my dream to have my own studio and produce my own music. Once Jin began to have authority in Seok™, he gifted me this studio to make music,” Namjoon reminisced.
“Woah, that’s so cool,” Jimin gawked. Namjoon was happy that his story was interesting to his guests. As soon as Hoseok was about to ask a question, Jin busted through the door.
“Namjoon!” Jin called out. Namjoon stood up and greeted Jin. “We’re over here,” Namjoon stated. “Wow! I like the suit. Why’d you decide to wear a suit all of a sudden?” Jin asked.
“I wanted the new clients to think of me and my studio as professional,” Namjoon shyly revealed as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“That’s the spirit,” Jin laughed as he playfully punched Namjoon’s arm.
“Hoseok!” Jin yelled as he ran towards him. Hoseok shot up and hugged his hyung. “Hyung! It’s been so long since I saw you!” Hoseok laughed. “I feel so old,” Jin whined.
Jimin sat on the couch awkwardly watching. Namjoon could tell Jimin was uncomfortable and motioned for Jimin to come. Jimin eyes perked once he saw Namjoon was motioning for him.
He quickly sat up and walked towards him. “Yes?” Jimin asked. “Just stand here,” Namjoon instructed.
Once Jin released Hoseok, he saw Jimin standing next to Namjoon. “Hoseok, he’s so cute!” Jin cooed as he pulled Jimin into a hug. Jimin became shy and covered his face.
Jin let go of Jimin and stuck his hand out. “I’m Jin,” he revealed. “Nice to meet you. I’m Jimin,” Jimin giggled. Jin couldn’t help but smile when he looked at Jimin.
Jin studied Jimin's face as he continued to shake his hand.
Hoseok walked towards Jimin and pulled him next to him. “Sorry, hyung, but he’s mine,” Hoseok smiled as he hugged Jimin. Jimin’s heart began to flutter after hearing those words.
His face turned a sweet shade of pink as Hoseok hugged him. “Ah, young love,” Jin sighed as he grabbed his heart. Namjoon began to smile.
The couple’s interaction began to remind him of Yoongi.
“Let’s get down to business. This is Mono Studio, and this is the owner, Kim Namjoon,” Jin announced. “Have you shown them around?” Jin asked. “I waited for your arrival,” Namjoon replied.
“Good, I like showing people around here. It’s so nice,” Jin smiled. Namjoon was really happy that his studio was being praised. He worked so hard to get to where he was.
This competition was going to help make his studio even more successful. Jin could have chosen other studios to place these two in, but he chose Namjoon’s studio. He was so grateful for that.
Jin showed the couple around Mono Studio. It was a very spacious and unique studio.
There were two rooms filled with producing equipment, two rooms meant for dancing, four recording rooms, and Namjoon’s own office.
The dance rooms had speakers integrated into the walls. This was because Namjoon didn’t like how all the wiring looked and how ‘ugly’ the speakers looked floating in the corners of the room.
Three of the four walls were completely covered with mirrors. In the far right corner of the rooms was a rack of towels for the dancers to wipe their sweat off.
Inside the dance rooms was another room. This room had a refrigerator, table, and chairs.
Jimin and Hoseok were truly in awe by how the dance rooms were built. This truly topped Chanwoo’s Studio.
The dance rooms were both completely white. Both had white tiles, white walls, and white towels. Hoseok never realized how unappealing the old studio was.
“Mr.Kim, this place is truly beautiful,” Hoseok said endearingly. “You can call me Namjoon. Also, thank you very much,” Namjoon proudly smiled.
“You guys can come to this studio any time you want, Namjoon is here 24/7. If you need anything, please, call me. Namjoon will give you both his business card so you can contact him as well. I have to go right now,” Jin explained as he put his coat on.
“Take good care of them,” Jin smiled as he embraced Namjoon. “I won’t let you down,” Namjoon chuckled.
Jin pulled both Jimin and Hoseok into a hug. “I wish you two the best of luck. Work hard and make sure you guys are proud of what you create. Fighting!” Jin stated as he hugged the pair.
“Thank you, hyung,” Hoseok nodded. “Thank you,” Jimin smiled.
Jin rushed out of the studio and entered the limo outside. He waved out the window as the car drove away.
“Please feel free to choose a room to practice in and take as much water as you like. At the far left corner of the room there is a box integrated into the wall. Open it, press on, and connect your phone through bluetooth. This will make it possible for you to play your music through the speakers. If you need anything I’ll be in my office,” Namjoon stated.
He turned around and made his way towards his sanctuary.
“Which one do you want to go in?” Jimin asked. Hoseok tilted his head and chuckled, “They’re both the same s-”
“Actually, they’re not. The room on the right has just water in the fridge, while the other has water and food,” Namjoon interrupted as he stuck his head out his office. “Oh, sorry,” Hoseok blushed.
“It’s okay. I just thought I should let you know in case you get hungry,” Namjoon explained as he returned to his office.
As soon as Namjoon left, Jimin erupted with laughter. Hoseok’s face was red with embarrassment. “Now choose,” Jimin said through his laughter. “It’s not that funny,” Hoseok pouted.
“You’re just so cute when you’re wrong,” Jimin cooed as he revealed his blinding smile. Hoseok’s heart skipped a beat.
“Let’s go to the one with food,” Hoseok murmured as he grabbed Jimin’s hand.
After Hoseok hooked up his phone, the pair began to stretch. “Are you ready?” Hoseok asked. “Ready when you are,” Jimin smirked. With that, Hoseok pressed play.
Their bodies began to move in unison. They glided through the air and made the studio echo with their footsteps.
Only nine days left to perfect the choreography.
