Jimin and Hoseok laid cuddled up on the bed. Their hearts and bodies intertwined as one. Hoseok played with Jimin’s hair as Jimin basked in this moment.
Jimin’s heart beat faster and faster as he felt Hoseok’s touch. His touch was so soft and warm. It made Jimin ignore everything else and forced him to focus on only this feeling.
If Jimin could, he would have purred like a cat. This innocent ecstasy was what Jimin lived for.
Suddenly, Hoseok’s hand stopped. Jimin scrunched his nose and whined, “Don’t stop!” He looked up to plead with Hoseok, but Hoseok was fast asleep. “Hoseok?” Jimin whispered.
There was no response. Hoseok was already in slumber’s tight embrace. Jimin giggled as he slowly got off the bed.
Carefully, Jimin pulled the cover over Hoseok and made sure he was comfortable. Jimin wriggled himself next to Hoseok and stared at his face.
The moonlight glistened on Hoseok’s ethereal face. Hoseok was more blinding than the moon. If Jimin had to compare Hoseok to anything it would be the sun.
He was always shining and radiating with happiness. Of course, Jimin knew he couldn’t always be happy.
However, when Hoseok was with Jimin it was like they were in their own bubble filled with bliss.
Hoseok tried hard to make sure that Jimin’s life was filled with nothing but happiness. Jimin was grateful for this, but he felt as if he needed to return the favor.
“Am I really doing enough?” Jimin asked himself. Suddenly, an ugly feeling began to engulf Jimin. He wasn’t doing enough.
Hoseok was the one doing all the work trying to maintain Jimin’s happiness, while Jimin did nothing but take away Hoseok’s happiness.
“It must be draining,” Jimin thought.
Jimin was the reason Hoseok got kicked out of Chanwoo’s Studio. Jimin was the reason that Sunhwa now hated Hoseok. Jimin was the reason that Hoseok had to cut ties with Sunhwa.
Jimin was the reason that Hoseok almost wasn’t able to participate in the competition he loves. Jimin almost ruined Hoseok’s life.
What else would Jimin ruin?
Jimin broke from this self degrading trance and realized he was crying. He looked up at Hoseok’s face and saw that his expression now looked pain.
Slowly, Jimin reached his hand out towards Hoseok’s face. “Don’t touch me! You only make things worse!” Hoseok sneered. “Hoseok?” Jimin shivered. “You drain me,” Hoseok muttered.
Jimin began to choke up on his tears. “I’m sorry!” Jimin cried. “Saying sorry isn’t going to fix anything. You really are the worse,” Hoseok glared.
“Hoseok!” Jimin sobbed as he shot up.
The room was quiet. Jimin frantically looked at Hoseok and saw that he was still sleeping. His expression was peaceful.
“What was that?” Jimin murmured as he clenched his heart. He wiped his tears away as he carefully got off the bed. “It felt so real,” Jimin sighed.
Jimin exited the room and closed the door behind him. He made his way to the living room and sat on the couch.
He placed his head in his hands and pouted. “What if that’s how Hoseok really feels?” Jimin asked himself.
His heart began to break as he realized that everything that Hoseok said in his nightmare was true. Jimin was nothing but a burden. He knew what he had to do in order to repay Hoseok.
Carefully, Jimin began to move the furniture in the living room. He stopped once the majority of the room was empty.
In order for Jimin to repay Hoseok he had to make sure that his part in the choreography was perfect. No matter how long it took, he was determined to make Hoseok proud.
Hoseok awoke to the sunlight hitting his face. He groaned as he stretched on the bed. Carefully, Hoseok tried to pull Jimin towards him. However, all he pulled was air.
“Where’s Jimin?” Hoseok murmured. He got off the bed and opened the door to the room. Immediately, he heard the sound of the shower running.
“Jimin never wakes up before me,” Hoseok muttered as he scrunched his eyebrows.
Suddenly, the shower stopped and he heard the shower curtains move. Hoseok waited in the hallway for Jimin to exit.
A couple minutes passed until Jimin finally emerged from the bathroom wearing a robe. Jimin was startled to see Hoseok waiting for him. “Were you waiting long?” Jimin asked.
“No, but why are you up so early?” Hoseok questioned. Jimin’s face flushed as he struggled to maintain eye contact. “Why are you up early?” Jimin nervously shot back.
Hoseok began to walk towards Jimin.
“Get dressed quickly so you don’t catch a cold,” Hoseok whispered as he kissed Jimin’s cheek. “Okay,” Jimin smiled as he walked to his room.
Hoseok walked to the bathroom to complete his morning routine.
Once Jimin entered his room, his heart began to ache. He didn’t want to admit to Hoseok that he had been up all night practicing. It was painful to walk and his muscles felt knotted. Not only was he in pain, but he was also very tired.
At any moment he could knock out.
Today they were going to practice at the studio so he had to be his best self. Nothing else mattered except for winning the competition. Jimin had to do what he had to do for Hoseok.
Hoseok would be really proud of him when he saw his improvement. This thought made Jimin smile. He opened his closet and tried to find some appropriate practice clothes.
Jimin emerged from the room and found Hoseok raiding the pantry. “Are you hungry?” Jimin asked as he tilted his head. “A little,” Hoseok replied as he rubbed his stomach.
“I’ll make you something. Go wait in the living room,” Jimin smiled. “I can help you,” Hoseok offered. “It’s fine,” Jimin insisted.
“Thank you, Jimin,” Hoseok smiled as he walked to the living room.
Hoseok sat down on the couch and sunk in. He wasn’t sure if he was overreacting, but Jimin seemed different. However, he couldn’t exactly put his finger on it.
Something felt off and it bothered Hoseok. The smell of eggs filled the room. His stomach growled as he walked to the kitchen. Hoseok saw Jimin placing the cooked eggs on a plate.
“You’re not going to eat?” Hoseok questioned. Jimin’s head shot up and his eyes widened as he stared at Hoseok. “You scared me,” Jimin chuckled.
Hoseok tilted his head as he walked towards Jimin. “Are you okay?” Hoseok asked as he grabbed Jimin’s hand. “Yeah, I’m fine! I’m just not hungry,” Jimin smiled.
“Just eat a little, please. We’re going to practice today so you need to have lots of energy,” Hoseok insisted. “Okay,” Jimin sighed as he cracked open another egg.
Once Jimin’s egg was done cooking, the pair grabbed their plates and sat down at the table. “Are you ready for practice today?” Hoseok asked Jimin. “Yeah, I’m excited,” Jimin smiled.
“Really?” Hoseok questioned. “Yeah, because I get to spend time with you,” Jimin giggled. Hoseok’s cheeks began to flush from Jimin’s response. Jimin really knew how to make Hoseok’s day.
“Aren’t you tired?” Hoseok asked as he tilted his head. Jimin froze as soon as those words left Hoseok’s mouth.
“Does he know?” Jimin asked himself.
His eyes widened as he stared at Hoseok. Hoseok must have heard Jimin practicing through the night.
Was he mad? Was he disappointed? He felt as if he was going to vomit.
“Why would I be t-tired?” Jimin stammered. “Well, we’re almost always at the studio practicing. It’s like we live there now,” Hoseok chuckled.
“Oh, yeah,” Jimin said as he let out a sigh of relief.
Once Hoseok was done eating, the pair stood up and walked to the door. Just as they were about to exit, Hoseok realized he left his phone at the dining room table.
“I forgot my phone. I’ll be back,” Hoseok stated as he headed back in the house.
As Hoseok entered the dining room, he saw that Jimin’s plate of food hadn’t been touched.
He frowned as he grabbed his food and headed towards Jimin.
The pair walked in silence towards the bus stop. Jimin was being devoured by his thoughts. He had to make the most of his practice time with Hoseok.
If anyone could help him improve it was Hoseok. Suddenly, Hoseok intertwined his hand with Jimin’s. Jimin looked up and saw Hoseok’s beaming smile.
Jimin’s heart fluttered as he returned the smile. Slowly, Jimin moved closer to Hoseok until their shoulders were touching.
Everything felt right again. The world made sense.
“Jimin, I care about you,” Hoseok gushed. “I care about you too, Hoseok,” Jimin assured him. Hoseok leaned down and kissed Jimin.
Jimin began to brighten up again. Once again, Hoseok was making sure that Jimin was happy. If Jimin wasn’t okay then Hoseok wasn’t okay. Jimin was his top and only priority.
The pair reached the bus stop and sat down. They had fifteen minutes to kill until the bus arrived. Jimin leaned on Hoseok’s chest as Hoseok wrapped his arm around him.
Together they laughed and smiled. All their troubles seemed trivial.
Together they were euphoric.
