Hoseok and Jimin talked about their choreography as they walked towards the bus stop.
Jimin had many questions about how his legs should be positioned during certain steps and how to pick himself up effortlessly and quickly when the time called for it. This surprised Hoseok.
He didn’t realize how serious Jimin really was. Hoseok was impressed and was happy to help Jimin.
Jimin’s eyes sparkled as Hoseok explained certain methods to him. There were many things that Hoseok didn’t know about dancing.
He could tell that Hoseok was very passionate about dancing because whenever he explained something concerning it his face would brighten.
Hoseok’s eyes would turn into crescents and his dimples would play peek-a-boo with Jimin.
“Focus on your core, because that helps you balance yourself,” Hoseok explained. “Oh, that makes more sense,” Jimin murmured as he tapped his lips with his finger.
As they reached the bus stop, they saw the bus waiting for passengers to board. They began to jog towards the bus so they wouldn’t be left behind.
Once they entered the bus, they found that all the seats had been taken. They were going to have to join the other passengers standing as they held onto straps.
As they walked down the aisle, Jimin thought he saw a familiar face. Jimin saw Taehyung sitting down talking to someone standing in front of him.
Jimin squinted to see who the other person was. However, the passenger was wearing a hoodie over his head which covered most of his face.
“Taehyung!” Jimin called out as he waved his hand. Taehyung and the passenger looked towards Jimin. This revealed the identity of the other passenger conversing with Taehyung.
“Jimin?” Jungkook asked as he gawked at him. Jimin and Hoseok began to walk towards the couple. They all greeted one another as the bus began to move.
“What happened to your arm?” Jimin gasped as he looked worriedly at Taehyung. Hoseok then noticed that Taehyung’s arm was casted and resting in a black sling.
Taehyung pressed his lips together as he stared at Jungkook. Jimin stared at Jungkook then back at Taehyung’s arm. “Don’t tell me he did this to you,” Jimin grumbled.
Jungkook pouted as he turned the opposite direction. “Jungkook!” Jimin yelled as he slapped his arm.
“We were just playing and I accidentally fell,” Jungkook murmured. Taehyung couldn’t help but giggle. Hearing Jungkook pout made it seem as if he was a child being admonished.
“I tried to catch him,” Taehyung laughed. Jimin winced as he imagined how much pain Taehyung must of been in. “How long do you have to wear it?” Hoseok asked.
“We just came back from the hospital and the doctor said about six weeks,” Taehyung explained.
“He didn’t even know it was broken till the next day,” Jungkook added. “Really?” Jimin and Hoseok gasped in unison.
“Yeah. I thought I just bruised it and decided to sleep it off. When I woke up the next day, my elbow was swollen and bruised. I couldn’t even move it!” Taehyung reminisced. “He cried so much,” Jungkook whispered as he frowned.
Jungkook felt really bad for breaking his arm. His heart ached to see Taehyung in so much pain. He only wanted to make happy memories with Taehyung.
It was an accident that could have been avoided if Jungkook was more careful.
“It’s okay, Jungkook. I know you didn’t mean it,” Taehyung assured him. Jungkook looked up with widened eyes. “How did you-” Jungkook started.
“You look so sad,” Taehyung said as he sincerely smiled. Jungkook’s eyes began to fill with tears as he bent down to hug Taehyung.
“I’m sorry, hyung,” Jungkook whimpered as he squeezed Taehyung. “It’s okay, Jungkook,” Taehyung sighed as he brushed his hand through Jungkook’s hair.
“We won’t be able to play anymore or cuddle,” Jungkook murmured as he nuzzled Taehyung’s neck. “I’ll also miss doing other things with you,” Taehyung smirked as he faced Jungkook.
Jungkook tilted his head and scrunched his eyebrows together. Taehyung leaned near Jungkook’s ear and whispered. Once Taehyung pulled back, he saw Jungkook’s face flush and his eyes widen.
This sight made Taehyung giggle as he covered his face with his hand. “Hyung,” Jungkook gasped as he stood back up.
Jungkook remembered that Jimin and Hoseok were right next to them. Jimin was resting his head on Hoseok’s shoulder as he closed his eyes.
When he wasn’t moving, Jimin was reminded of how tired he really was. His eyelids were heavy and his legs felt numb. Also, his stomach growled with hunger.
He wanted to fall asleep desperately, but he couldn’t since he was standing up.
“When’s your competition?” Jungkook suddenly asked. Hoseok looked towards the ceiling as he tried to remember. Finally, Hoseok replied, “Next Friday."
“Really? Are you nervous?” Jungkook questioned as he scrunched his nose. “A little, but with Jimin I feel confident. He really is amazing at dancing,” Hoseok smiled as he glanced at Jimin.
Jungkook’s face enveloped into a smile as he glanced at Jimin as well.
He was so happy that his best friend found someone who truly cared about him.
“Can we go?” Jungkook squealed as he pointed towards himself and Taehyung. Hoseok began to smile as Jungkook started to jump up and down.
“Yeah! I’ll give Jimin the information so he can send it to you,” Hoseok chuckled. “Thank you! We’ll be there. Right?” Jungkook suddenly looked at Taehyung to confirm.
Taehyung revealed his boxy smile as he nodded at Jungkook. “We’ll be there!” Jungkook giggled. “I hope you enjoy our performance,” Hoseok smiled.
Suddenly, the bus stopped. Passengers began to exit as Hoseok looked out the window. He recognized the bus stop and realized that this was their exit.
“We’ll be leaving now. It was nice seeing you guys,” Hoseok stated as he gently shook Jimin. Jimin lifted his head from Hoseok’s shoulder and looked around. “Let’s go,” Hoseok smiled as he grabbed Jimin’s hand.
“Bye,” Jimin sleepily smiled as he waved at the couple. Taehyung and Jungkook returned their departing words and watched the couple exit the bus.
Jimin and Hoseok watched the bus drive away as they stood on the sidewalk. Once the bus was out of sight, the pair began to walk towards Hoseok’s home.
Jimin’s eyes were half opened and he trudged as they continued their journey. Hoseok giggled as he watched Jimin’s zombie-like movements. “Are you that tired?” Hoseok asked as he chuckled.
Jimin slowly nodded his head as he yawned.
Jimin definitely didn’t like this feeling. However, if feeling drowsy was going to insure Hoseok’s happiness then he would do it again in a heartbeat. Practice was all he needed to focus on.
It was Jimin’s turn to be Hoseok’s ray of sunshine.
Finally, the pair reached Hoseok’s home. As soon as Hoseok unlocked the door, Jimin plodded towards Hoseok’s couch. He let himself fall, anticipating the soft cushions of the couch.
However, that never came. “Sleep on my bed,” Hoseok whispered as he held Jimin up by his waist. Jimin slowly opened his eyes as he tried to look at Hoseok.
He couldn’t focus on his features, everything looked blurry. It was already hard enough to keep his eyes opened for more than fifteen seconds.
Jimin rubbed his eyes with his hands as he followed Hoseok to his room. Hoseok removed his blanket and patted the bed for Jimin to lay down.
Without any hesitation, Jimin threw himself on the bed. As soon as he hit the mattress, Jimin was knocked out. Hoseok fixed Jimin’s body so he would be comfortable.
Once he was done, he placed the cover over Jimin and made sure he was wrapped up tightly. He smiled as he admired Jimin. Slowly, Hoseok leaned down and kissed Jimin’s forehead.
“Sweet dreams,” Hoseok whispered as he left the room.
