Once the door was opened, Jimin reached for Jungkook’s hand and pulled him in. He embraced the younger, whispering words of strength in his ear, the younger’s nervousness clearly noticeable.
Hesitantly, Jungkook stood in front of Hoseok, extending his hand outward.
“Hi, Hoseok. I’m Jungkook,” Jungkook murmured.
Hoseok took the younger’s hand, shaking it as he tried to look as friendly as possible. He could tell just how nervous Jungkook was. Guilt ate at Hoseok. This big misunderstanding probably clouded Jungkook’s mind.
“I just wanted to say sorry about the other day,” Jungkook revealed, “I felt really bad getting in between you and Jimin liked that. I hope we could be friends.”
Hoseok’s heart stung as he watched Jungkook fiddled with the strings on his hoodie. He regretted ever making this angel feel bad.
Not sure why, but Hoseok felt a need to protect the younger. It was quite clear just how sweet he was.
“It’s okay, Jungkook. I would love to be friends with you,” Hoseok beamed, “I should probably be apologizing too. I shouldn’t have just assumed something like that.”
Jungkoook’s doe eyes widened as he shook his head.
Hoseok nodded his head.
“No, hyung. I should only be apologizing. I caused a lot of pain to you and Jimin. Right after you left Ji-”
“Jungkook!” Jimin yelped.
Both men looked at the shorter, confusion written on their faces.
“That should stay between us,” Jimin nervously giggled as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“Sorry, hyung,” Jungkook murmured as his cheeks filled with color.
Jimin felt horrible seeing Jungkook like this. He knew Jungkook was a shy boy, which is why he wished he had met Hoseok on better terms.
“Well, I should get going now.”
“Are you sure, Jungkookie? You can stay and hang out with us,” Jimin questioned as he grabbed the younger’s hand.
“We’d love it if you stayed,” Hoseok piped in.
Jungkook’s eyes began to sparkle as he stared at the pair. He was surprised by how much his relationship with the stranger had changed. He was glad that Hoseok didn’t hate him.
“I would love to stay, but I actually came with someone,” Jungkook revealed.
“Who?” Jimin questioned as they all made their way to the porch.
He didn’t remember anyone standing with Jungkook outside his home. If he did see someone he would have invited them in. Jimin began to feel like a horrible host.
Suddenly, Hoseok tapped on his shoulder, pointing his finger toward the end of the sidewalk. A man with mint hair made his way down the street, clutching the strap to his satchel as he readjusted his sunglasses.
Quickly glancing over at Jungkook, Jimin knew this is who he was talking about. Jimin saw how Jungkook’s expression changed dramatically.
There was a tenderness that Jimin had never seen before.
The stranger made his way up the porch and stood by Jungkook. Jimin’s eyes widened once he noticed the mint haired man’s arm snake around Jungkook’s waist.
“This is Taehyung,” Jungkook revealed as Taehyung displayed his boxy smile.
Taehyung lowered himself into a bow, shocking Jungkook.
“Ah, you don’t have to bow,” Jungkook giggled as he playfully hit Taehyung’s shoulder.
Jungkook introduced Jimin and Hoseok to Taehyung, blushing once he noticed Jimin’s suggestive gaze.
“Is this enough,” Taehyung questioned, opening his satchel and revealing an abundance of snacks.
Jungkook’s nose crinkled as he smiled, nodding his head as he looked through the bag.
Jimin’s heart began to flutter as he watched the happiness ooze off his best friend. There were so many things he wanted to ask, but he didn’t want to bombard the younger.
“Well, we should be on our way.”
Jungkook’s voice pulled Jimin out of his trance, eyes growing fond as he watched Jungkook’s fingers intertwine with Taehyung’s.
“It was nice meeting you,” Jimin smiled.
Taehyung returned the smile and the pair walked off together. Jimin rested his head on Hoseok’s shoulder as he watched the pair walk off until they disappeared. Slowly, the two entered the home once again.
“What’s wrong?” Hoseok asked as he pinched the shorter’s cheeks. “Nothing,” Jimin sighed, “I’m just happy for him.”
Jimin felt warm, a parental sense of pride settling inside him. He had known Jungkook since their highschool days. He just wanted the younger to be happy and he looked happy with Taehyung.
Happy looked good on Jungkook. With a smile on his face, Jimin wrapped his arms around Hoseok as they made their way to the living room.
Jimin awoke to the sound of his phone vibrating. He groggily grabbed his phone off his nightstand and turned the device on, checking the notification.
Seokie <3: sorry for not staying for breakfast :( Seokie <3: I’ll make it up to you!
Jimin scratched his head as he recalled last night's events. The pair had a movie marathon, binging on every snack they could find in his home.
He remembers dozing off on Hoseok’s chest, still on the couch. His cheeks heat up once he realized Hoseok had carried him to bed and stayed the night.
Me: I’m sorry for knocking out Seokie <3: don’t be!! Seokie <3: sleep is more important!
Jimin couldn’t help but blush. Hoseok truly was an angel. After a couple minutes of texting Hoseok, Jimin got out of bed and made his way to the living room.
He stopped in his tracks once his eyes landed on the mess. Pillows everywhere, popcorn on the floor, candy wrappers everywhere, and soda cans scattered around.
He was going to kill Hoseok.
Jimin dusted his shirt off, nodding his head as he gazed upon the living room. It took awhile, but he was glad the living room was clean again.
He wasn’t exactly a clean freak, but the mess they left behind was extraordinary. There was no way it would be morally right to leave a mess like that unattended.
He made his way to his bathroom, showering and getting ready for dance class. Jimin still had two hours to burn before he had to start heading over.
Flopping down onto the couch, Jimin stared at the ceiling as he tried to figure out what to do. Suddenly, a brilliant idea appeared.
Quickly getting to work, Jimin moved the coffee table out of the way, leaving more floor space.
Jimin stood in the center of the wooden floor and breathed. With all this time Jimin thought it would be a perfect opportunity to practice the routine.
“One, two, three,” Jimin counted.
His hips began to move, arms ripping through the air as he moved to the beat in his head. Once he completed the choreography, Jimin placed his hands on his hips as he huffed.
This was his sign to keep on working. That was barely twenty seconds of dancing and he could already feel the sweat sliding off him.
“I must really be out of shape,” Jimin murmured as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Hoseok was a talented dancer and, of course, his choreography reflected that. When Hoseok performed the choreography for Jimin it looked as if Hoseok was floating in the air, as if he were as light as a feather.
However, when Jimin performed the routine it looked very laborious and grueling. Despite this, Jimin was determined to improve for Hoseok.
More importantly, Jimin was growing fond of dancing.
