Hoseok is a talented dancer at Chanwoo's Dance Studio. One day while he performs in class a stranger, Jimin, watches him. The stranger is enamored by how seemingly perfect Hoseok dances. Jimin will do anything and everything to get close to Hoseok. But how far is Jimin willing to go?

Just Dance Chapter Fifty Five

Jimin emerged from the bathroom wearing nike pros and an oversized white t-shirt that stopped at the middle of his muscular thighs. He ran his hands through his damp hair.

The smell of peaches entered his nose as a smile enveloped his face. Hoseok always told Jimin that he smelled amazing and he wasn’t wrong.

All of the fruity shampoos that Jimin owned were the cause for his sweet scent. As he walked down the hallway, Jimin began to giggle as he imagined Hoseok complimenting him once again.

As Jimin rounded the corner, his eyes widened as he examined the living room. Yoongi and Namjoon were seated on the couch while Hoseok gave them water bottles.

Suddenly, all three of the men turned toward Jimin. All of their faces enveloped into smiles as they watched Jimin bounce up and down.

“Hi, Namjoon and Yoongi,” Jimin chirped as he ran toward the two men.

Before Namjoon or Yoongi could return the greeting, Jimin wrapped his arms around the men and embraced them tightly.

Without hesitation, the couple wrapped their arms around Jimin and greeted him. As the men let go of one another, Namjoon knitted his eyebrows together as the corners of his lips curled upward.

Namjoon chuckled, “You smell like-”

Before Namjoon could finish, Yoongi interrupted, “Peaches.”

Jimin’s cheeks blushed as he shyly giggled. He began to fiddle with the hem of his shirt as he thanked the men. Feeling left out, Hoseok pulled Jimin into a hug and took a whiff.

As Jimin felt Hoseok nuzzle his neck, his heart began to beat a mile a minute from Hoseok’s touch.

“You smell delicious,” Hoseok whispered.

Jimin’s body trembled as Hoseok’s husky voice filled his ear. Hoseok’s breaths brushed against Jimin’s neck causing him to let out a shaky breath.

His small hand pushed through Hoseok’s damp hair. Suddenly, the smell of strawberries emitted from Hoseok’s luscious hair.

He was surprised that Hoseok had chosen to use the strawberry shampoo. A small giggled escaped his lips as he breathed in more of Hoseok’s scent.

The sound of Namjoon placing his water bottle onto the coffee table reminded Hoseok that the couple wasn’t alone.

Reluctantly, Hoseok pulled away from the petite man and revealed his blinding smile.

“He really does smell amazing,” Hoseok sang as he ruffled Jimin’s hair. Jimin had to stop himself from purring as he melted into Hoseok’s hand.

Yoongi nodded his head as he made a mental note to buy fruity shampoos.

Namjoon revealed his dimples as he told himself to switch Yoongi’s shampoos with fruity ones.

“What made you guys want to visit?” Hoseok questioned as he plopped down on the couch. Jimin fluttered down next to Hoseok as he rested his head on his shoulder.

Suddenly, Namjoon placed down the stack of papers on the coffee table and slid it toward the couple. Both of the men scrunched their eyebrows as they turned the papers toward themselves.

“I need you both to sign these papers saying that we’re dropping out of the competition. Apparently there’s this whole process for dropping out. Jin already took care of most of it, but now we just need to sign,” Namjoon revealed as he rubbed his hands together.

Namjoon wasn’t sure if he was hitting a soft spot regarding Jimin. He still remembered how sad Jimin was when he found out he couldn’t perform. His heart ached just thinking about it.

Just imagining working day and night for something important and then being told that you wouldn’t be able to participate made Namjoon shudder.

There were many times where Namjoon believed that he wouldn’t be able to get his studio. Each one of those moments broke Namjoon’s heart.

That type of pain shouldn’t have to be endured by anyone, not even someone as sweet as Jimin.

Jimin stared blankly at the stack of papers as Hoseok flipped the papers. He had momentarily forgotten about the competition.

Although that was all in the past now, it still made Jimin’s heart ache a little. Making sure not to be obvious, Jimin snuck a glance at Hoseok.

His lips were pressed together, forming a straight line, and his eyes looked glossed over. Hoseok was obviously hurting just as much as Jimin. That didn’t make it any better.

In fact, it made it worse.

Jimin’s lips pouted once the couple reached the last page. Namjoon’s signature was written on the line beside two empty spots. It was obvious that the couple had to sign their names there.

“Forfeit,” Jimin murmured as he read the thick black letters.

“I’ll go get a pen,” Hoseok stated as he stood up from the couch and walked out of the living room.

Yoongi began to frown as he watched Jimin twiddle with his fingers. He wasn’t sure if Jimin even read what was inside the packet, not that it mattered.

However, that indicated that the wound was still raw. Jimin probably couldn’t even bare the thought of signing his name down.

If it wasn’t concrete enough, this paper was reality’s hard slap to the face.

“Jimin, are you okay?” Yoongi questioned as he placed his hand on top of Jimin’s.

Jimin’s lips pouted outward as he stared at Yoongi’s milky hand. Slowly, Jimin shook his head. He felt really bad right now. If only there was some way for Hoseok to be able to perform.

Suddenly, Jimin’s head shot up as he stared right into Namjoon’s now wide eyes. He knew what he had to do.

“Namjoon, is there any way that Hoseok can just perform alone?” Jimin questioned as he gave Namjoon his puppy eyes.

Namjoon’s lips slightly parted as he grunted. He began to rub the back of his neck as he tried to figure out an answer for Jimin’s question.

The more he thought about, he wasn’t sure if the contract ever stated that they NEEDED two dancers. Hours before, Namjoon had read through the stacks of paperwork that Jin had given him.

One of those stacks was the original contract that Namjoon signed regarding the competition.

“Well, I’m not sure, but it never specifically says that you NEED two dancers. It just says that you need to have an originally choreographed dance,” Namjoon revealed as his fingers tapped against the coffee table.

Once those words left Namjoon’s mouth, Jimin shot up into the air as he squealed. It was almost as if the heavens had heard his cries and decided to pity him. This was Jimin’s answer.

Hoseok wouldn’t have to drop out of the competition that was important to him. There was no reason for Hoseok not to perform.

Even though they hadn’t practiced in a couple of days, Jimin was sure that Hoseok still remembered the choreography that they had created. Talent flowed through Hoseok’s veins.

Suddenly, Hoseok reentered the living room with a pen in his hand. His eyebrows arched upward as he stared at the three men’s suspicious grins.

Slowly, he sat back down next to Jimin and uncapped the pen. Quickly, Jimin snatched the pen from Hoseok’s hand and held it hostage.

Hoseok’s eyes widened as he murmured, “What ar-”

“Hoseok, we might not have to forfeit,” Jimin squealed as he cupped Hoseok’s plump cheeks.

Hoseok wore a shocked expression as he repeated Jimin’s words in his head. He wasn’t sure if he was hearing the excited boy correctly.

His eyes darted toward Namjoon, waiting for an explanation.

“Jimin’s right. It never specifies how many people have to perform. For all we know, thirteen people can perform together,” Namjoon chuckled.

Hoseok’s shocked expression didn’t fade away. Every word that left Namjoon’s mouth just made him question whether he was awake right now.

Every year that Hoseok participated in the competition it was always a partner choreography. No one ever performed alone. None of the men were making any sense.

“This might be confusing to take in, but I’m pretty sure you can do a solo routine. If you want I can call Jin and ask if I’m correct. However, we need to know if you even want to perform,” Namjoon stated as he twiddled his fingers.

Hoseok’s lips parted as he tried to conjure words. However, nothing emitted from Hoseok’s lips. He wasn’t sure if passing the opportunity was selfish or if taking the opportunity was selfish.

If Hoseok declined then it would be inconsiderate since they practiced for months just to perfect their routine.

On the other hand, if Hoseok took the opportunity then it would also be inconsiderate since Jimin wouldn’t be able to participate.

His head turned toward Jimin as his eyes turned into confused crescents. Jimin was his answer.

“Please, Hobi! JUST DANCE!” Jimin beamed as he wrapped his arms around Hoseok and embraced him.
