Jimin and Hoseok sat down on the bench as they waited for the bus to arrive. “What’s your favorite movie genre?” Hoseok asked. “I don’t know. Anything is fine with me,” Jimin smiled.
“There has to be one you prefer over the others,” Hoseok continued. “Not really. I don’t really watch movies,” Jimin shrugged. “Really?” Hoseok sighed. “Really,” Jimin answered.
Right at that moment, the bus arrived. The couple entered the bus and greeted Hayoon. They sat down in a row near the back of the bus.
Jimin rested his head on Hoseok’s shoulder as the bus began to move. Hoseok stared out the window as he admired the scenery. His world was so colorful since the day he met Jimin.
Before Jimin came along, Hoseok would only look forward to dance class. Of course, he had his friends but that never felt enough. He longed for something deeper.
Then he met Jimin and color began to seep into his gray world. If he had never met Jimin, who knows what would have happened. He didn’t want to think about that now.
Right now he was with the person he loved the most and he wanted to make the most of it.
Finally, the bus reached the pair’s stop and they exited the bus. They walked hand in hand as Hoseok led the way. Jimin took this time to admire Hoseok’s features.
His perfect nose and defined jaw. Hoseok’s smile could brighten a room up. Jimin began to feel all giddy as he stared at his boyfriend.
The way Hoseok’s hair bounced as he walked, the way he subconsciously smiled, and the way Hoseok held Jimin’s hand were perfect.
Also, Hoseok always made sure that Jimin was safe and out of harm's way. Even though Hoseok’s actions were sometimes reckless, Jimin still appreciated it. How could Jimin not love him?
“We’re here,” Hoseok sang as he stopped. Jimin was broken from the trance Hoseok put him in. He looked ahead of him and saw that Hoseok had brought them to a movie theater.
“I knew it!” Jimin squealed. “How?” Hoseok asked astonished. “Why else would you ask me what my favorite movie genre is?” Jimin giggled.
Hoseok pouted as he realized he spoiled his own surprise. “Don’t be sad! I love it!” Jimin reassured Hoseok as he hugged him.
The pair walked into the theater and began to look at the movie schedule. “Choose which movie we should watch,” Hoseok smiled. “Really?” Jimin asked as his eyes sparkled.
Hoseok nodded as his heart swooned for Jimin’s breathtaking smile. They walked up to the man at the booth. “Good afternoon, how may I help you?” the young man asked.
“Two tickets for The Nun, please,” Jimin smiled.
As soon as those words left Jimin’s mouth, Hoseok turned as white as a ghost. “T-The Nun?” Hoseok stammered. “Yeah,” Jimin beamed. “That’ll be $27.65,” the man stated.
Hoseok’s hand shook as he handed the man his debit card. Once the tickets were done printing, the man handed Hoseok back his card along with the tickets and receipt.
“Have fun, I heard the movie was really scary,” the young man shivered.
Jimin was excited and jittery as he walked with Hoseok to get food. Hoseok felt as if his face was numb as he walked.
As Hoseok broke out into a cold sweat, Jimin ordered popcorn, candies, and an ICEE. “That’ll be $15.45,” the lady at the cashier revealed.
Hoseok emotionlessly handed the woman his card as he stared at the floor. He held all the candies as Jimin began to drink from the ICEE. They made their way to theater number nine.
Suddenly, Jimin asked him, “Are you okay?” Hoseok snapped out from his unresponsive state and looked at Jimin. “Yeah, I’m great,” Hoseok answered as he forced a smile.
“Do you not like scary movies?” Jimin questioned as he tilted his head. “I’m a brave boy, Jimin,” Hoseok winked. Jimin began to laugh as they entered the theater.
They decided to sit in the middle of the fifth row.
There weren’t that many people in the movie theater, except for a couple sitting at the top of the theater and a group of guys sitting close to the screen.
This was expected since it was one o’clock in the afternoon on a Thursday. “Hoseok?” Jimin whispered. Hoseok turned his head and looked at Jimin.
“Thank you for taking me here,” Jimin smiled. Immediately, Hoseok’s heart began to flutter. “You’re welcome,” Hoseok sang as he held Jimin’s hand.
Suddenly, the movie began to play. Hoseok gulped as he prepared himself for what might pop out of the screen.
As the movie progressed, Jimin found himself staring at Hoseok rather than the screen. He was so adorable when he was scared.
Jimin tried hard to hold his laughter in when he would see Hoseok jump when the volume of the background music would rise a little.
His eyes squinted as he prepared himself to close his eyes at the near sight of the nun. Hoseok’s hands were shaking furiously, but he tried to hide that fact by gripping onto the chair.
Jimin leaned over and whispered in Hoseok’s ear, “Are you sure you’re okay?” Hoseok nearly shrieked as he felt Jimin’s breath caress his ear.
He nodded at Jimin as he tried to hide the fear in his eyes.
Jimin shook his head and mouthed, “No you’re not.” Hoseok began to blush as he realized Jimin knew he was truly terrified. He lowered his head down in embarrassment.
Suddenly, Jimin kissed Hoseok’s cheek and rested his head on Hoseok’s shoulder. “I’ll protect you,” Jimin whispered as he began to sprinkle kisses all over his broad shoulders.
Hoseok couldn’t help but smile as Jimin tried to make him feel better. Throughout the remainder of the movie, Jimin tried his best to distract Hoseok from the movie as he snuggled with him.
Once the movie finished, the couple exited the theater and began to walk towards the bus stop. “Sorry I ruined the movie for you,” Hoseok murmured as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“You didn’t ruin the movie for me! I had fun protecting you,” Jimin beamed. Jimin had witnessed a side of Hoseok that probably no one else had ever seen.
It was adorable how he acted in the theater. No one would have ever guessed that Hoseok was terrified of scary movies.
As the couple rode the bus, Jimin blurted out, “You’re sleeping over at my house."
Hoseok tilted his head as he asked, “I am?” “Yes! I slept over at your house yesterday, so now it’s your turn,” Jimin explained.
“But you left your duffle bag at my house,” Hoseok reminded him. “I’ll just pick it up tomorrow,” Jimin smiled. “Okay, I’ll sleepover,” Hoseok smirked.
“As if you had a choice,” Jimin giggled.
