Blinded Discomfort

The light shines brightly,

The light shines brightly, As we dress ourselves lightly.

The light shines brightly, As we dress ourselves lightly. We pull on these clothes of comfort,

The light shines brightly, As we dress ourselves lightly. We pull on these clothes of comfort, As we wake from our slumber, to hear those words that buffer our reconfort.

The light shines brightly, As we dress ourselves lightly. We pull on these clothes of comfort, As we wake from our slumber, to hear those words that buffer our reconfort. "Why are you wearing those kind of clothes," They accuse.

When they do, they light the fuse that burns bright,

When they do, they light the fuse that burns bright, For just that plight.

When they do, they light the fuse that burns bright, For just that plight. But they extinguish that light,

When they do, they light the fuse that burns bright, For just that plight. But they extinguish that light, And you're with the ashes of the fight.

When they do, they light the fuse that burns bright, For just that plight. But they extinguish that light, And you're with the ashes of the fight. You go back and put on something they approve,

But they left you in the worst mood.

But they left you in the worst mood. Now you are not comfortable,

But they left you in the worst mood. Now you are not comfortable, You are wishing for the non encumbered times of plentiful.

But they left you in the worst mood. Now you are not comfortable, You are wishing for the non encumbered times of plentiful. They took that away,

But they left you in the worst mood. Now you are not comfortable, You are wishing for the non encumbered times of plentiful. They took that away, But now there is a game to play.

They are blinded to our discomfort,

They are blinded to our discomfort, They are blinded to our plight.

They are blinded to our discomfort, They are blinded to our plight. They strangled our light,

They are blinded to our discomfort, They are blinded to our plight. They strangled our light, They left us unable to find others' plight.

They are blinded to our discomfort, They are blinded to our plight. They strangled our light, They left us unable to find others' plight. What they don't know,

Is we are more than light shining on snow.

Is we are more than light shining on snow. We have others who combined,

Is we are more than light shining on snow. We have others who combined, It's easier to say as one,

Is we are more than light shining on snow. We have others who combined, It's easier to say as one, It's easier to say to the sun,

Is we are more than light shining on snow. We have others who combined, It's easier to say as one, It's easier to say to the sun, Than it is to say to the ones who are harder to confine.

Blind,

Blind, And everything that starts from the dawn,

Blind, And everything that starts from the dawn, To the last light to break from the sun,

Blind, And everything that starts from the dawn, To the last light to break from the sun, Leaving room for the moon to run.

Blind, And everything that starts from the dawn, To the last light to break from the sun, Leaving room for the moon to run. We are the moon that comes out to play,

When our moment on stage is set to play,

When our moment on stage is set to play, All our discomfort falls away.

When our moment on stage is set to play, All our discomfort falls away. We are left with ourselves,

When our moment on stage is set to play, All our discomfort falls away. We are left with ourselves, And they are left with mere shelves.

When our moment on stage is set to play, All our discomfort falls away. We are left with ourselves, And they are left with mere shelves. The sightless ability they have,

That what we only need,

That what we only need, Is others like us who understand our plee,

That what we only need, Is others like us who understand our plee, As we do not flee,

That what we only need, Is others like us who understand our plee, As we do not flee, And take our place among the others,

That what we only need, Is others like us who understand our plee, As we do not flee, And take our place among the others, Saying, "This comfort is mine and for all our colors left to chime without the need for a perfect rhyme!"
