There I was, standing tall and proud Although before me was hardly a crowd

The First Show and the Last

There I was, standing tall and proud

Although before me was hardly a crowd

A handful of people who barely listened

Saved me from the few notes I might be missing

The greatest feeling, I'm on the spot

Feeling high even though I'm not

My first show after all my dreams

Music stole me and became my everything

Now here on this stage

When time has past

And I've grown with age

And became my best

I see the lights, hear the fans

Give a wave to the security man

And strum my strings and sing my song

To what I've wanted all along

The crowd grows louder, as does my voice

I could never regret my very first choice

To chase my dreams and live my life

In front of me, the flashing lights

They grow so bright and I can tell

That death doesn't mean heaven or hell

It's just living, only without your dreams

No matter the person, that's what it means
