I need to talk about a serious issue.
this issue is the normalization of sexual assault in media.
As an example, the other day i was scrolling through cf, and i see a post with a mha (anime) character on it.
I click it, curious to see what it's about, and find a few sentences dedicated to validating another character.
and lo and behold, it's minoru fucking mineta.
that's right, kids.
the certified sex offender of my hero.
not only is this post blatantly excusing his harassment of the female characters, but they're blaming it on his past.
in the show, mineta constantly sexualizes the female students, and even goes so far as to touch them without their consent. And this user wants to defend him?
obviously, it's just an anime. No big deal, right?
No. It's a really big deal. We're normalizing this disgusting behavior. I've seen the user @ushitenlover excuse this as 'normal teen boy' stuff.
So, it's normal for male teens to constantly objectify and harass fellow students?
Think this over.
