It was not okay to compare me with other people.
It was certainly not okay to subdue my energy.
And it was never okay to expect me to be someone else.
My scars never lied in the past.
The past? Where are they now, you ask?
They’re invisible, for I covered them with optimistic thoughts.
My scars are healing, like my mind and soul.
And one day, I’ll return more powerful than ever.
I’ll then be the best version of myself.
Aside: It’s never okay to let people tell you what to do and what not to do, especially if it’s something related to your personality . Just be yourself and people will come to you for who you are.
