The Horse

by therinamartins

He raised his head, sniffing the air.

His heart thundered, eager to race the upcoming storm. His muscles tensed and flexed, waiting for the signal for release.

He was a kind Lord.

His subjects were happy ones, and those above him were satisfied ones. He was gentle and kind, yet he knew his limits.

He knew how life could be harsh.

But he made companions nevertheless. He could be a forever loner, but where would be the pleasure?

And no matter his circumstances,

He always held his head up high.

This is so sweet. I love who we can feel the spirit of the horse, it makes the horse seem alive. Awesome job!
