Cliché?

by theRainier

I guess that I’ll start with a cliché Since, after all, it is Mothers day And if I may There are a couple words I’d like to say

She is the strongest person I know The most emotional person I know The bravest person that I know

Yet, she always seems to underestimate herself While putting everyone else above her shelf

She put me in a miserable place When it was absolutely necessary Not knowing what the outcome might be

This miserable place was a step towards my own healing The both of us were lost, and we couldn’t be dealing With all the problems that we had

At first, I was angry and furious And she was sad and curious To find out what was wrong

We had lots of disagreement A lot of fights about my treatment About what had to be done

Anyhow, along the journey She always stood by my side Whilst losing her love and pride

Something I’d hope to regain In the future, no hurt, no pain So that she can be happy

So that the both of us can be happy I know for a fact that I don’t say this often enough It’s cliché, but it’s true that I love you very much

I hope you can forgive me for all my wrongdoings I hope you can forgive me for all that I’ve done I hope you’ll always stay number one, mom
