The (black) woman has always been quiet, this wasn’t due to the fact that she had nothing to say,
this was because she had decided to always be patient, in the hope that things will change for the better.
Society had gotten so used to such character that she seemed almost non existent.
No one fought for her because they thought that she was 'okay' with everything.
However over the years she’s learned to stand on her own, knowing fully well that there were no shoulders to lean on!
No one to fight for her but herself. However it’s just such a shame that as she’s trying to be heard, society mistakes her rights (to speak, to be heard, to be a woman...) as nagging!
She can’t use hand gestures during conversations because they’ll say she’s being aggressive, she can’t state her opinion and raise her voice because they’ll say she’s too emotional.
What on Earth is wrong with society? Society has gotten so accustomed to her character that they would rather her be docile.
They are scared of the fire burning in her so they will go to the extremes of the world to try and shut her down. Let’s keep on the fight for gender equality! No woman should be made to feel any less capable than the male counterpart.
We all should be equally heard. Women have got to realise their worth. We make the world what it is, WITHOUT US THERE IS NO 'THEM'
