Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger has proposed a #SocialMediaStrike for the 4th of July and the following day.
His proposed "strike" targets the usual suspects like-of course!-Facebook and Twitter and other "popular" social media sites like Instagram.
He said he was proposing said "strike" over privacy and other concerns regarding so-called social media sites.
I've, of course, posted about my own "issues" with sites like Facebook and Twitter. So I have NO problem participating in Mr. Sanger's "strike".
If nothing else, at least this #SocialMediaStrike will keep the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey from making MORE money.
Oh, BTW, one of Facebook's early investors Sean Parker-who also founded Napster-said publicly how Mark Zuckerberg deliberately made FB, as he put it, "addictive".
Maybe THAT'S why there doesn't seem to be much "interest" in Mr. Sanger's #SocialMediaStrike.
