You know what are some things I find "interesting"?
And, as you're about to see, I don't necessarily mean "interesting" in a GOOD way.
For starters, what passes for "celebrity" nowadays.
The two BIGGEST "celebrities" out now are Kim Kardashian & Grumpy Cat, i.e. a woman known for a sex tape & a feline with a medical condition while those with actual TALENT often go unnoticed.
Also, what passes for "news" media these days.
It seems like ANYONE with a site and/or a blog can now claim to be an actual journalist while actual journalists try to compete with bloggers & use their "tactics" like using unverified sources.
And, oh yeah, how comedians now try to be serious.
George Carlin wrote in his book Brain Droppings how comedians who push their political views in a non-comedic way become less of a comedian & more of a champion for their political causes.
And how Hollywood seems to no longer have "original" ideas.
And, yes, I'm talking about ALL the damned reboots and/or endless rehashes of stuff that has been done before (and BETTER). Seriously, how many damn reboots of Spider-Man does a person need?
And DON'T get me started on all those damn "reality" shows!
Let's face it, these shows are about anything BUT "reality". I mean, if you want actual reality, JUST STEP OUT YOUR FRONT DOOR!!!! Just a friendly little suggestion!
And THEN there's what passes for political "discourse" now.
Especially on so-called social media sites like Facebook & Twitter where the TROLLS have seemingly all but taken over where they tell you to "Kill yourself!" if you dare "disagree" with them.
And WTF was up with that "election" we just had?
Since I, of course, don't want to get "trolled" for saying ANYTHING "negative" about either of these two, as Forrest Gump might say, that's all I'm gonna say about THAT!
These are but a few of the things I find "interesting".
What say you, Spock? (And by Spock I, of course, mean the original and NOT the "rebooted" one. No offense, "reboot" Spock!)
