Some Of My Favorite "Escape" Things

by tbanarchy

Journey's album "Escape"

One of the best albums of their career. That's the one with "Don't Stop Believin'" on it, which is, of course, one of their most popular songs and can be heard in countless Karaoke bars!

John Carpenter's "Escape From New York"

Next to "Halloween", this is without a doubt one of legendary film director John Carpenter's most popular films. And who can, of course, forget Kurt Russell's portrayal of Snake Plissken!

"Escape From The Planet Of The Apes"

Next to the first one starring the late Charlton Heston, this is one of the best Planet Of The Ape movies. Some, of course, might argue-and have argued-that this is the best of the POTA films.

John Carpenter's "Escape From L.A."

This was the sequel to "Escape From New York". This film wasn't nowhere near the "classic" the first one was. But I thought it had its moments (the lame "surfing" scene notwithstanding!).

"Houdini & Doyle"

I actually liked this show which was a "fictionalized" account of the crimes escape artist Harry Houdini & Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyle worked on together. It lasted ONE season.
