Some "Flesh" Songs

by tbanarchy

One of the things I'm most noted for here on Commaful-besides, of course, the snarky shit!-is posting sometimes weird-ass lists of songs that coincide with the "story challenge" on CF. And here's another one!

"Flesh For Fantasy" by Billy Idol

One of the most famous "flesh" songs on this list, this song was sung by legendary 80s rocker Billy Idol. (Yes, the SAME guy who sang "Dancing With Myself"!)

"Flesh & Blood" by Johnny Cash

Another one of the most famous "flesh" songs on this list, this song by the late Johnny Cash shot to number one on the country charts back in 1970. It was also featured in a film called "I Walk The Line"-the title to one of Cash's most famous songs-starring Gregory Peck.

"Flesh Storm" by Slayer

This is yet another song about death and destruction by legendary death metal band Slayer. (Is it considered ironic that a death metal band would put out a song about death? Just asking!)

"Flesh Wound" by Robert Palmer

This is a song by the late singer Robert Palmer. Not as well-known or as popular as his some of his other songs like, say, his hit "Bad Case Of Loving You", but it's not one of his worst.

"Flesh" by Aerosmith

This song by legendary rock group Aerosmith might be a tad bit more "subtle" than, say, "Love In An Elevator", but it's STILL referring to . . . well, I don't have to draw you a map, do I?

"Luminous Flesh Giants" by Joe Satriani

This is yet another guitar instrumental by noted rock guitarist Joe Satriani (who also taught Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett how to play the gee-tar).

"Acid Flesh" by White Zombie

This song is from noted heavy metal band White Zombie (you know, the ones who became "famous" after being featured on Beavis & Butthead). This isn't one of their best songs, in my opinion, though it's still a typical WZ song.

"Flower Of Flesh & Blood" by Kittie

Kittie is an all-female heavy metal band from Canada (yes, there IS such a thing!) that formed back in the mid-90s when their founding members were still in high school. (No shit!)

If you REALLY want a list of some weird-ass "flesh" songs, check out THIS list from the listing site Ranker: https://www.ranker.com/list/the-best-songs-with-flesh-in-the-title/ranker-music
