Earlier I posted about this man who walked into the Wal-Mart I frequented while wearing body armor and brandishing an assault weapon while carrying 100 rounds of ammunition.
Since I initially posted that piece, the story has managed to garner national attention from the national media, which kind of surprised me since he (thankfully) didn't shoot anyone.
Apparently the man-who I will NOT name here-told police he wasn't actually trying to shoot anyone but that he wanted to see if that Wal-Mart "honored" the 2nd Amendment.
I believe he wasn't trying to harm anyone as witnesses said he was pushing a cart while he was filming the "reaction" to him walking into that Wal-Mart more heavily-armed than Rambo.
Believe it or not, he even also told police he was "surprised" by everyone's "reaction" to what he did in spite of the recent mass shootings in El Paso and Ohio. (I initially said Oregon in my previous piece but it was the Oregon district in Dayton, Ohio.)
Even the man's own sisters came out and told the media they tried to stop him from doing what he did, telling him how it was a BAD idea given the recent mass shooting at that Wal-Mart in El Paso and that other one in Ohio.
His oldest sister said she even drove down to the Wal-Mart to try to prevent him from pulling this jackass stunt of his but she said by the time she got there the police were already there and her jackass brother had already been arrested.
The man-who, again, I will NOT name here-was charged with "making a terrorist threat" which is a felony in the state, though I suspect he'll plead out to a "lesser" crime and maybe get probation since this is an "open carry" state once the heat dies down.
I mean, the guy might not be an actual "terrorist" though he IS a . . . oh, what's THAT word? Oh yeah!
Even one of the cops told the local media how he was lucky he DIDN'T get his dumb ass shot off. Well, he didn't really say it like THAT but that was, of course, his general meaning since this is not only an "open carry" state but people are allowed to carry concealed weapons WITHOUT a permit.
Gee, I feel SAFER already!
I myself have not been back to that Wal-Mart since this incident, though I'll likely go later on this week.
Wish me luck!
Well, at least ONE good thing that's come out of this incident is that this man-who, there again, shall remain nameless-is permanently BANNED from any and all Wal-Mart stores.
There again, this guy's a . . . oh, what WAS that again? Oh yeah!
