Don't you think that this word is losing it's meaning in today's world?

Unity

by tabnash24

Look around you, what do you see?

Hate, destruction and signs of misery?

Brothers fighting one another without any pity?

Or people killing in the name of religion instead of preaching empathy?

Surprised must be your senses after seeing this vicinity.

It might even make you wonder why there's no peace in a single city.

Well then let me welcome you to this living hell with the spared facility.

For this is the future where there's no such word called 'Unity.'

@bernardtwindwil You're definitely right about the bits of the unity left and that's exactly why I narrated it to the readers, welcoming them into my small world with what all I have with a hope of wanting to build a small unit amongst the readers and me. Also, thank you for leaving me your detailed thoughts about it. :)

The poem itself was well metered and rhymed. The message along with the graphic images were clearly projected into the theme. I am uncertain as to unity losing it's meaning. It seems that certain groups have internal unity but there also seems to be little unity among separated groups. I don't know if you have ever heard the old saw, "Distance makes for good neighbors." Great poem!!!!!
