I have unattainable dreams. I don't think I'll ever write a happy poem.

Australia

by sydneybrown

We were foolish

for thinking of Australia.

As if moving away

would solve all of our problems.

Meadows and rivers,

A gray house with a porch, Dogs, a Husky and an Australian Shepherd, A city within driving distance, And no boys allowed.

Acting as if planning a future together,

Would fix the now.

I wish we had never thought of Australia.

Because now,

Australia won't leave me alone.

I loved this poem. It was packed with a powerful emotion. Not so much a punch but it pulled one as the reader. Your words were chosen so well that you brought your desolation to life. Great poem!!!

This is really beautiful❤ I have dreamed of moving away from my hometown for years, and it always made me sad to do that, but I'm finnaly doing it, I'm finnaly moving away and it's an amazing feeling, never lose sight of your dreams. They dont always have to be in the forefront, both you we be surprised that some of your dreams will come true❤❤
