Why don't we go back to the source?

If Darwin was brilliant

isn't it better to read the brilliance itself? Why don't we read

Or the Bible

when studying religion

To me, even reading a bit of the brilliance is better

Seems like something I'll be doing soon

Sometimes we just need a very condensed version to have some general knowledge on the subject. Drawing generalizations from the source can also be wrong, but maybe it's better than knowing nothing because we can't read the whole source.

@tango makes sense. I guess you don't go to school for brilliance. Better to be able to explain things well and in high level and probably easier to remember. It just strikes me that Darwin is pretty easy read. And very brilliant. Will definitely be looking into his thoughts soon

I know a lot of people who do this for their own pleasure. And also many who do teach it in classes

In school people probably aren't looking for brilliance. Just to learn. It's more important to learn th concept of evolution than to experience the brilliance of Darwin. Still great to read the source though
