1. Timing determines winners & losers
Periscope was not the first live streaming app. Hardware, latency, and more make it possible today
2. Twitter is the best for live distribution
Periscope used Twitter because of it being live. Color used Facebook for distribution. Periscope wants to be the visual social graph for the world
3. Focus on your product
Ignore the media, don't spend all of your time thinking about other companies (eg meerkat). There will be more competitors
4. Stories are power
Kayvon loves answering questions with examples and stories. He explains the product with stories.
5. Look at the long haul
Periscope grew quickly. The media criticizes and analyzes what is going on now. Kayvon knows this is a long game.
