Archaic style poem inspired by the works of Percy Bysshe Shelly.

Time's Lonely Shore.

T'was no one on the beach but me, T'was no one save the breeze, Alone was I on Time's lonely shore, Caught between sands and sea.

I wandered upon Time's lonely shore, And saw those who had not lived. Spirits present that were but air, And the ghosts long of before.

One thousand deaths I lived and died, Grew old and then born anew, As I walked upon Time's lonely shore And while the dead wind sighed.

Upon inspection, it was my face, A thousand times over did I see, Past, Present, Future all, Stuck fast in this dreary place.

T'was no one on the beach but me, T'was no one save the breeze, Alone was I on Time's lonely shore, Caught between sands and sea.
