A series of three poems inspired by light

Light, A Tryptic.

Foreward, I wrote these all in free-flow with little thought to what came out. Hope you enjoy!

1) A haiku

Like a moth to flame,

Like a moth to flame, I am drawn to your passion,

Like a moth to flame, I am drawn to your passion, And burn in your fires.

2) The Lightening on the Sands.

Lightening strikes but once a year, On these old forgotten shores, Sending sparks into the atmosphere, And fusing the sands into glass. The waves still draw in and out, Pulsing tides and times -

And the lightening strikes but once a year, And dazzles our windswept minds.

3) Striking a Match, A Discourse.

Lemme get that for you, Don't shy, it's only a little flame. How you gonna learn to smoke otherwise? There, Inhale and exhale... Slow! take your time, You got it, kid.
