I was inspired by the lovely vanilla cake to make something of my own. Now, if I can, I always make vegan, refined sugar free foods. I also like to experiment and make sure there are plenty of added 'superfoods' to feel superior about. I managed to fulfil these requirements, however I am also disappointed.
Instead of protein bars, I made protein bird seed. I suppose even robins need buffing up. I had even made obnoxious names for my 'bars' to up the retail price by a fiver. Chocol-Diobolical: puffed quiona, banana, cocoa powder, coco nibs, peanut butter, and oats.
Go-Go-Goji: puffed quinoa, goji berries, banana, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, linseeds, flax, chia seeds, pine nuts, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, currants, peanut butter, and oats. All the health! All of it I say! Anyway, here they are in all their patheticness. I even puffed the quinoa myself
I will kindly donate these nibbles and extra crumbles (boxed away) to family members for their dairy-saturated cereals and yoghurts. Bleugh. Don't try and console me. I wish to wallow in my first world hipster problems. I just thought you should all know than even I, the fish, have struggles to endure.
