poem for those struggling with wanting to write and the fear of failure

sand castles

by sunlatte

i think i want to write but i am scared of digging my shovel in grains of ink

i am scared of filling my buckets with words trying to form to build something that lasts that matters

i am scared of waves of eyes coursing through lines searching for meaning wiping the words away ripped apart in its oceans but

i think maybe sand castles must need to be damp if they ever want to stand

I like the ocean imagery and the way the poem just encourage writers to just go for it - so make a mistake or write not the best thing ever already ... it's a sand castle already and can be washed away or redone.

Trust me, I loved the way you are trying to encourage people who are facing a problem. It's pretty creative. Liked it! ;)
