Can you hear me?

by stridder75

I want to comfort you when you feel down

But your're over there, on the other side of my world

And I'm afraid that even a hug might push you farther away

Can you hear me calling out to you or are you deaf to the shout of my heart?

When will my affection stop being met with defflection?

This was a poem that would apply to many people who have stepped ankle deep into a pool of unknown depth. Which is the usual scenario of all relationships. What sets this apart is that it concerns a tragically broken person. It's like adding piranhas to the pool. Great poem!!!!
