You can trust all the information I am giving you as I have lived there. I am an Uyghur so I know what it is like being one. My brother was born when the Genocide of July 5th, 2009. In fact, we were about to leave the hospital when this horrible thing happened. We were just about to leave when we heard shouting.
We peered through the window and saw blood and violence. I was 4 when this happened and my parents were way to stunned to even block my eyes. They knew that China was starting to pressure us more and more, setting up new rules. But we never thought a genocide would happen so soon and suddenly.
They came with tanks and millions of soldiers. It was a surprise attack, they attack the busiest street in the city. Attacks were happening all over the other cities. We probably would have been killed in the chaos if it hadn't been the security who blocked all the doors and windows in the hospital.
The soldiers had guns and rockets when the people only had fruit knives to cut fruits. It was very bloody and I can never get the image out of my head. I will continue with more detail next time. If you have any questions that you would like to ask please ask in the comments. I will answer all of them. I want more people to know more about this.
