Halves of a coin, light bears shade. Each sunny day, shadows are made.
Behind a smile un-fallen tear, A joyous song a dirge to bear.
You can’t have good without the bad, Can’t have happy without some sad.
Can’t have peace without the pain, There are no flowers without the rain.
When bright sun glows, the lilies bloom, But only after nights of gloom,
Joyous times with friends to share Come often after deep despair.
There’s always balance, good and bad, Happy days behind the sad,
Joyous times from bitter born, Don’t lose hope, soon comes the morn.
