Winged horse and winged girl Sharing their bold adventures; Joy filled their beings.
‘Til a jealous god, Envious of their friendship, Cursed them both in spite.
Shorn of her glad wings, Bound forever to the Earth, Far from her lone friend.
While among the stars, Sorrowful with cosmic wings, Proud Pegasus wept
