When I lay my head down On my pillow to sleep, I lose my sad frown, My eyes cease to weep.
For I know I shall dream Of bacon and toast, Strawberries and cream And juicy pork roast.
Warm biscuits and gravy, Fried eggs and ham, An omelette savory Marm'lade and jam.
Pancakes with maple Waffles and butter, Grits are a staple, They make my heart flutter.
I won't be too picky Just bring on the food, Don't think to get tricky I'm not in the mood.
The highlight of morning, Best part of the day, Is my breakfast warming So please hear what I say.
