Poem that again covers a fair bit of ground int he area of mortality and the value of life, I guess, but it came fairly quickly. Enjoy.

Four Seasons

by Steve Marsden

There's a good reason why

I want to see more on my scoreboard than just rotations of the earth as all four seasons pass me by, Chill, wet, and heat me so I dry

I’m grateful I’m alive

it’s true but I implore you to store your expectations of rebirth, It’s bait to be switched, instead dive, We all deserve to live and thrive

There’s no “them” only “us”

and know we didn’t leave order for chaos since we’re still arriving where totems no longer own us, Love and Joy are not a bonus

@bernardtwindwil thanks! I want to have an upbeat message as woeful stuff is a little too easy. Justifying hope seems to me much more valuable a message.

I loved it. It was the poem of a conqueror. No woe is me pathetic drivel. Onward and upward!! Great poem!!!!!
